Our Central Focus

Long summer days, warm weather and a jamb packed summer make time fly by. We kick into fast speed automatic pilot and the days begin to blend. Seasons change; spring, summer, fall, winter and we’re just as busy.  How many times have you asked, where did time go? What we measured in years is now decades.

We reflect on the past, place our hopes in the future and learn from our mistakes, hopefully! But life really isn’t that simple or complicated, is it?  However your life is, as Christians, I pray that Christ is at it’s center.  Proverbs 3:1 says “My son, do not forget my teachings but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.”

It certainly isn’t sinful to be busy in itself, but seeking the kingdom of God first and his righteousness (Matt 6:33) and all these things will be added unto you, can easily be forgotten.

Our study in Proverbs focuses on God and His wisdom. I pray God’s word anchors your hearts in life’s travels.  Take a second out of your busy life and remember what the gospel means to you; your hope and salvation.  Gospel assurance brings peace to the wandering heart. A heart that’s so prone to wander can remain steadfast in the love of Christ.

May God bless your journey in life and make Jesus your destiny.  John 17:3, “And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God and Jesus Christ whom You sent.”
